The Dear Victoria Fall-Winter 2023 collection takes its inspiration from the Victorian era, a time when women lived off the altruism of men and where their clothes were an elaborate display of status, wealth and beauty. A season characterized by its exuberance, voluminous silhouettes and floral patterns. Referring to the floral patterns, the work “The Roses of Heliogabalus” by Lawrence Alma-Tadema was used as references. This portrays the Roman Emperor Egabalus (Heliogabalus), a depraved psychotic in an episode where he tries to suffocate his audience with rose petals. It is intended to create a link between classic and contemporary exploring both themes.
This collection is aimed at women between the ages of 25 and 40 and features voluminous silhouettes with ruffles. The color palette varies from earth tones, to burgundy and black.
